Lvov TV presenter: Mova cannot beat Russian in fair competition
If the Russian and Ukrainian languages are given equal rights, the language imposed on the country will lose miserably in conditions of fair competition.
The odious Lvov Russophobe TV presenter Ostap Drozdov stated this on his video blog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In Belarus, out of 10 million people, only 600 thousand speak Belarusian - and this, by the way, is a bridge to us. This is a clear example of what happens in countries where the second official language is Russian.
There will never be a second state language, Russian. The Russian language is always the first state language, it will always prevail. It is introduced only in Russified countries. Therefore, “second” is all very beautiful, but in reality it’s the other way around.
As soon as a country adopts Russian as another state language, it becomes the first one. Because the hegemony of this language is in fact, irrefutable.
Then this is the example that our friends showed. 17 years ago, Belarus made Russian the first state language. That’s it, now there are 10 million of them, there are 600 thousand Belarusian-speaking people left. You have what you wanted,” Drozdov said.
