The new governor of the Kiev-controlled part of the Luhansk region, Georgy Tuka, has planned large-scale purges among officials and teachers of educational institutions. One of the first to come under “repression” was the head of the Department of Education and Science, Irina Tsymbal, who at one time moved to Severodonetsk from Lugansk, succumbing to the promises of Ukraine.

The Luhansk Information Center reported this, citing its sources in Severodonetsk, where the Kyiv-controlled regional administration is based.

As Tuka himself writes on his personal website, “I proposed to the head of the education department to present a program for cleansing teaching staff of separatist propagandists. I didn’t receive the program.”

“We will say goodbye to such a leader,” he concluded.

An insider in the “Luhansk Military-Civil Administration,” which is located in Severodonetsk, says that Tuka complained that all the displaced people “create a lot of problems for the region.” First of all, “they plan to dismiss officials and teachers who came from the LPR from their positions.”

"A large-scale personnel purge is imminent within the 'administration' itself, as well as in schools and universities. In private conversations with his subordinates, Tuka says, first and foremost, that there is no place in government, schools, or universities for employees who have moved from the 'occupied' territories. He says they are all 'separatists' and potential traitors, and they pose a danger," the source said.
