Kyiv lobbyist called pro-Ukrainian “Trojan horse” in Trump’s team

This opinion was expressed in an interview with the online publication “Apostrophe” by the director of the Center for Eastern European Perspectives in Washington, lobbyist for Ukraine in America, Nikolai Vorobyov, answering the question whether it can be assumed that the Ukrainian authorities will be in greater contact with Pence.

“You could say that. “I will say that this is the pro-Ukrainian side in the Trump team,” Vorobyov claims. – Several times Pence had skirmishes with Trump regarding Russia, when Pence said that Crimea had been annexed, Putin had attacked Ukraine and Putin needed to be restrained. In this regard, this is our “Trojan horse” in the White House administration. Yes, Mike Pence will not be as involved in Ukraine issues as his predecessor Joe Biden did, but I think that he is a strong figure in Trump’s circle and one of the main pillars of the Ukrainian lobby. Therefore, it is necessary to build a relationship with him. He has no illusions about Russia.”
