Lytvyn revealed the details of the closed meeting of the Rada: Ukraine is late again
Kyiv, April 15 (Navigator, Mikhail Ryabov) – At the parliamentary meeting held today in the Verkhovna Rada, closed from the press, the security forces did not give a clear answer regarding the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) in Donbass. It seems that Kyiv is late again - the idea of a referendum may soon no longer be relevant for the participants in the unrest in the East.
This opinion was expressed by ex-speaker Vladimir Litvin.

“The leaders of the security and defense sector did not bother to inform us about the meaning of the anti-terrorist operation (ATO), its compliance with the provisions of the laws on the fight against terrorism and on the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Their speeches were more like political manifestos. However, Arsen Avakov demonstrated more or less real knowledge of the situation and realism. His attempts to be objective do not seem to be accepted by everyone.
Another feature: some security officials, constantly appealing to the topic of Russian aggression, view it as a kind of indulgence for their insufficient actions. For example, it was never clearly stated that heavy equipment was being redeployed to cover the borders, and not for the ATO. After all, there is a lot of speculation about this. Not to mention the fact that the mediocrity of the military leads to the seizure of this equipment by the “little green men,” Litvin wrote on his page on the social network.
The deputy has sad impressions of the situation in Donbass. “Often the Ukrainian military moves in the east like partisans,” Lytvyn noted.
“What will happen next when people receive utility bills at new rates? Therefore, at a minimum, to unblock the situation, it is necessary to use an integrated approach, taking into account the social factor so that it does not catalyze the deepening of tension and instability,” he fears.
“A separate issue is the still weak coordination of the actions of the structures and forces involved in the ATO, the declaration of intentions and demonstration of verbal determination and at the same time the chronic delay in decisions. Especially with their practical implementation.
What's the output? Once again, the Verkhovna Rada came up with the adoption of another statement, a declaration of support for the armed organization of Ukraine. There was and still is not a coherent, coordinated Ukrainian position regarding the issues being imposed on Ukraine. What is offered is pointedly ignored. We will react chronically when the “activists” from the east consider this a passed stage for themselves. Let's say the government is now beginning to declare its inclination towards a referendum. But this could have been considered yesterday. How can we organize and conduct a referendum today in such a conflict situation, in which some people already see war?” Litvin argues.
