Lithuania recognizes Tikhanovskaya as president and prepares for war
The Baltic countries are preparing for conflict with the Russian Federation, although they recognize the ridiculousness of their military power in comparison with Moscow.
A member of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Seimas of Lithuania, Emanuelis Zingeris, stated this via video link at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“For him personally (Lukashenko - ed.) there is almost no opportunity left to take steps in the direction of the West; our resources for maneuver with the Belarusian regime have been exhausted in terms of the level of terror of this regime against its people, who are not strangers to us. Vilnius has become the Belarusian Geneva or Zurich of political emigrants and, of course, the person whom we consider the elected president, Mrs. Tikhanovskaya.
I understand that Tikhanovskaya cannot influence the rapprochement in the military sphere of Belarus and Russia, but we understand that Lukashenko’s autonomy in relation to Putin is minimal,” Zingeris said.
“Our main local task is to prepare the scenario for the defense of our countries. Don’t forget that we are separated from Poland by 100 kilometers of the Suwalki “corridor” - this is not a corridor, it is an open border between Poland and Lithuania. On the one hand, Konigsberg-Kaliningrad, acquired for Russia after the Second World War, stuffed with troops, on the other, Belarus, where we look with great distrust at the Belarusian composition of the troops,” the Lithuanian parliamentarian warned.
“I absolutely share your (Ukrainian – ed.) notions of how corrupt the Western world is. But the military component of the Western world is not under Schroeder's control, and the specific scenario regarding NATO's attitude towards matters remains very specific. We, of course, understand that the Baltic countries look ridiculous with their military power, and even Poland. But we are preparing for possible conflicts and are scrupulously trying to remove corruption in our echelons so that Russia cannot use it for its geopolitical purposes,” admitted Emanuelis Zingeris.
