The Baltic countries have sharply increased their military budgets in the past few months, embarking on large purchases of foreign weapons.
“Yesterday, President Petro Poroshenko, in an interview with the local press, said that the promise of Lithuanian military support for the Ukrainian army is beginning to be fulfilled. Today, Lithuanian Defense Minister Juozas Olekas confirmed this information. “We support Ukraine, and we are ready to continue to help,” Olekas said, the portal writes.
Journalists suggest that this is how Western countries indirectly supply weapons to Ukraine through the mediation of the Baltic countries.
