Poland has long attracted migrant workers from the CIS countries due to employment opportunities and comfortable living conditions. Many visitors eventually think about moving permanently. One of the tools that simplifies immigration is the Pole's Card - a document that provides a number of significant benefits and privileges in Poland.

But the process of obtaining the Card has its own nuances. Today, we'll explain in detail who is eligible, what rights it provides, the application process, and what to look for to avoid rejection. Reviews of Trust Group specialists indicate that the Pole's Card provided them with numerous benefits when moving to Poland.

Poland has long attracted migrant workers from the CIS countries due to employment opportunities and comfortable...

Pole's card - who can get it?

The Pole's Card can be issued to citizens of CIS countries who do not have a residence permit or Polish citizenship. A prerequisite is the presence of confirmed Polish roots up to the 3rd generation - documentary evidence of the residence of ancestors in Poland.

Also, active participants in Polish organizations and societies who have contributed to the development of the Polish language and culture for at least 3 years are entitled to receive it.

I applied for the Pole's Card, without roots, as an active participant in the Polish cultural center for 5 years. A truly possible path!

Rights of Karty Polaka holders

The Pole's card provides a number of important benefits and privileges in Poland:

  • free education and scholarship opportunities;
  • permission for official employment;
  • the right to conduct business activities;
  • free medical care;
  • free visits to state museums;
  • 37% discount on public transport.

According to immigrants leaving reviews about Trust Group , having a Pole's Card makes life in the country much easier.

Very helpful for learning! I receive a scholarship and attend free Polish language courses.

Receipt procedure

To receive a Pole's Card, you must collect a package of documents confirming the right to issue it and have the papers translated into Polish by a sworn translator.

Next, you should personally submit the documents to the Polish consulate at your place of registration and wait for the interview date to be set. The interview tests your knowledge of the Polish language, history and culture of Poland.

If the decision is positive, the Pole Card is issued within 14 days. Its validity extends for 10 years with the right to extend.

Indeed, you need to be careful when translating documents; due to translator errors, I had to resubmit the documents.

Refusal to receive: possible reasons

Most often, the refusal is due to the provision of an incomplete package of documents, problems with the apostille, or translation errors. The reason may also be the provision of false personal data or forgery of supporting documents.

In case of refusal, you can go through the entire procedure again with revised documents.

In my case, the apostille on my grandmother’s marriage certificate was missing. After fixing this everything worked.

Conclusion

The Pole's card significantly simplifies immigration and adaptation in Poland. Despite some difficulties in obtaining, this document allows you to count on a number of important benefits and privileges.
