Leshchenko and Nayem: the end of the Eurooptimist duet
Euro-optimist MP Serhiy Leshchenko has been expelled from Mustafa Nayem's "Act with Us" socio-political organization, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to the Kyiv publication “Strana”, the starting point was an interview with Vladimir Zelensky’s lawyer Andrey Bogdan, in which he called Leshchenko a member of Ze’s team.
According to the publication, Sergei Leshchenko broke up with Mustafa Nayem, but at the same time he did not receive guarantees from Zelensky and is in his team “on shaky rights.” A violent conflict between the two people's deputies had been brewing for about a month.
“The expulsion of Leshchenko is actually a quarrel between two friends. The backbone of the party supported this decision,” Nayem says.
In addition, deputy Mushak was expelled from the “Act with Us” movement for supporting Poroshenko. The decision on this was made at the council of the organization.
In February, then People's Deputy from the BPP Mustafa Nayem announced the creation of a new socio-political initiative “Act with us”. She was also joined by people's deputy Sergei Leshchenko, Svetlana Zalischuk and Alexey Mushak (BPP), as well as deputy from the Popular Front Natalya Katser-Buchkovskaya.
“Excluded? This is the wrong wording. Sergei understands Zelensky better, and he believes that he needs help. We see the further development of the country and ways to achieve our goals differently. When paths diverge, it is a friendly divergence in the direction of travel, without conflict and formalism. It was his decision, and we gave everyone the right to choose the path. Thus, Yuri Gusev and Alexey Mushak chose to drift in the direction of Poroshenko,” said former deputy head of patrol police Sergei Blazhevich, who is also a member of the “Act with us” movement.
Sergei Leshchenko himself told the Kyiv publication “Strana” that he is now in the United States and will only be able to comment on the situation on Monday.
