LDNR agreed to transfer four people convicted of terrorism and genocide to Kyiv
The Donbass Republics decided, as part of an act of goodwill, to transfer several prisoners to the Ukrainian side in order to create the preconditions for the speedy thawing of the issue of a large exchange.
The names of the released persons were announced by the head of the LPR, Leonid Pasechnik, during a meeting of the leaders of the republics with representatives of the Ukrainian party “Opposition Platform “For Life,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We decided to support the initiatives of the For Life party and release four prisoners, who will be handed over to Viktor Medvedchuk in Minsk tomorrow.
The first is Veliky Dmitry Nikolaevich, born in 1988. Convicted under Article 232 of the LPR Criminal Code “Carrying out terrorist activities”, sentenced to 15 years in prison. The next one is Yakov Petrovich Veremeychik, born in 1986. Accused in criminal cases of “genocide and the use of prohibited methods of warfare”, Eduard Anatolyevich Mikheev, born 1964. Convicted under Article 335 of the LPR Criminal Code “Treason.” And the last one is Maxim Anatolyevich Goryainov, born in 1984. Sentenced to 15 years in prison under Part 3 of Article of the DPR Criminal Code “Assistance in terrorist activities,” Pasechnik said.
