Lavrov accepted Azerbaijan's apology. Pashinyan announced surrender
The Russian Foreign Ministry published a reaction to Azerbaijan’s apology for the downing of a Russian Mi-24 helicopter, which resulted in the death of two servicemen.
“We assess positively the fact that Baku immediately admitted its guilt. We also note the assurances given to us by the Azerbaijani side that a prompt investigation into this incident will be carried out and those responsible will be punished,” the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
It is interesting that in the Azerbaijani media, citing sources, information appeared that tomorrow the heads of the Russian Federation, Azerbaijan and Armenia will make a joint statement, which supposedly involves the deployment of Russian peacekeepers, that the warring parties in Karabakh will be separated, and will remain under the control of Baku captured Shushi.
This information has already been confirmed by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
“I have made a very, very difficult decision for myself and for all of us. I signed a statement with the presidents of Russia and Azerbaijan on ending the Karabakh war at 01:00,” he said, admitting that the text is “inexpressibly painful for me personally and for our people.”
“I made this decision as a result of a deep analysis of the military situation and an assessment of the people who know it best,” Pashinyan explained.
