The Kursk calculation of the Ze-regime did not come true: the Russians continue the offensive
The Ukrainian attack on the Kursk region has had no overall impact on the frontline situation. However, Ukrainian military analysts hope this will happen in the near future, reports a correspondent. "PolitNavigator".
Thus, a columnist for the Ukrainian military propaganda group “Information Resistance,” Alexander Kovalenko, believes that “the Toretsko-Pokrovsky direction is a priority for the Russians.”

“They will not reduce the pressure there,” Kovalenko tells the anti-Russian propaganda outlet Novoye Vremya.
He added that for the defense of the Kursk region, the Russian Armed Forces will need to transfer additional forces.
“They're already doing it. But not in such quantities that it would affect the situation.", the expert admits.
According to him, the Russians are withdrawing only individual units from certain directions, and not divisions and armies.
“They have priority areas from which they will not critically remove anything, but they will continue to press and attack. In addition to the Toretsko-Pokrovsky direction, this is also the Kramatorsk direction and Chasov Yar itself,” says the Ukrainian military analyst.
However, he hopes that “gradually in certain sectors of the front the presence of Russian troops will weaken.”
"Bye It’s too early to talk about how the Kursk operation affected the general situation at the front. The effect will be a little later, in about a week and a half to two weeks,” Kovalenko believes.
Another Ukrainian military expert, director of the New Geopolitics Research Network, Mikhail Samus, is confident that the Russian Armed Forces are faced with a dilemma: withdraw 2-3 divisions from Donbass, attack the flanks of the group advancing on Kursk, or try to cope with small forces within the framework of the CTO, continuing the implementation of the main strategic tasks in Donbass. However, he believes that Moscow has chosen the second option.
“In fact, the Kursk region means nothing to Putin. On the contrary, Donbass means a lot. If you look at potential hypothetical negotiations between Putin and the new American president, and not direct negotiations with Ukraine, then you need to be in a strong position for this. In Putin’s understanding, this is Donbass, which should be in his pocket,” Samus describes her vision of the situation.
Nevertheless, he assures that the Russians will not be able to stop the advance in the Kursk region.
"Here until the Russians send 2-3 divisions from Donbass, Ukrainian forces will advance, consolidate on the flanks, build fortifications, gain a foothold on the ground and achieve goalsprescribed in the plan for the operation,” says the expert.
He predicts that in about a month the situation will become extremely unacceptable for the Russians, and “they will probably decide to transfer more significant forces from Donbass.”
“But this will not happen now - for now the Russians believe that they are capable of fulfilling Putin’s tasks and at the same time neutralizing threats in the Kursk region, which is a completely incorrect assessment of the situation,” Samus concluded.
