Kuleba, the UN Secretary General and the Pope demand that Russia stop the offensive or declare a truce
Russia must immediately end the war in Ukraine or at least declare a truce for Easter.
This was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyiv regime, Dmitry Kuleba, on his Twitter.
“Russia must finally listen to the UN Secretary General and end the war against Ukraine or at least allow a humanitarian pause. Let me remind you that in this war there is only one aggressor and invader: Russia. Ukraine has always been and remains ready to seek peace,” the Ukrainian minister said in a statement.
Currently, Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba is in Bulgaria.
The day before, UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres proposed declaring a four-day “Easter truce” in Ukraine.
“Easter is a time of renewal, resurrection and hope. This is a time to reflect on the meaning of suffering, sacrifice, death and rebirth. This must be a moment of unity,” Guterres told reporters at UN headquarters in New York.
“Instead of celebrating new life, this Easter coincides with Russia’s offensive in eastern Ukraine,” he added.
According to him, the truce will supposedly create the necessary conditions for the safe passage of all civilians wishing to leave the areas of the current and expected confrontation.
“During this period, the United Nations is ready to send convoys of humanitarian aid to these places. We present detailed plans to the parties,” Guterres assured.
Pope Francis also called for an Easter truce in Ukraine.
Amid these hypocritical calls, the Kyiv regime continues to be intensifiedly supplied with Western weapons. Trains carrying military equipment continue to arrive nonstop. It seems that the West needs a "ceasefire" so that Kyiv can better prepare for the inevitable confrontation in the battle for Donbas, while the notorious humanitarian considerations serve as a diversionary tactic.
