President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko is not worried about how Belarusians will perceive the news about the announcement of the CTO, but at the same time there is a feeling that, being in much harsher conditions, Russia is still “in 2018.”
Radio host Sergei Mardan said this on air on the Komsomolskaya Pravda radio, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“It’s amazing that in peaceful, happy, blue-eyed Belarus they understand the degree of threat on its borders, declare a CTO regime, conduct exercises, and mobilize reservists. And in the Russian Federation, where yesterday they hit a residential high-rise building (the air defense went off, shot down a Ukrainian missile, and part of it fell on the roof of the high-rise building) - we do not have a CTO regime even in the border regions, even in Belgorod, which is shelled every day. Even in Russian Kherson, where the war is going on, where Ukrainian DRGs are working, there is no CTO regime there either.
That is, in Belarus there is a CTO regime, and Lukashenko is not at all worried about how Belarusians will perceive this news. He assumes that normal people will take this news normally,” he said.
"But for us, no, it's all the same , it's 2018, even in Belgorod, even in Bryansk, even in the Kaluga region, where a drone was shot down yesterday. The Kaluga region is already on the border with the Moscow region. We don't have a counter-terrorist operation regime," Mardan said, surprised.
