Ksenia Shoigu brought help to Donbass for children and seriously wounded participants of the Northern Military District
Targeted assistance to those who need it most, moreover, actually on the front line - in cities where the cannonade does not stop, and people live under constant shelling - this is what the Orion Center for Humanitarian Initiatives is doing today. The Chairman of its Board of Trustees, Ksenia Shoigu, arrived with humanitarian aid in order to personally communicate with local residents and deliver aid to them.
The humanitarian convoy visited, in particular, the Makeyevka City Physical Health Center, which was given a shipment of sports equipment. Today, children train here in 10 types of sports disciplines - they have the opportunity to do this in more comfortable conditions on new equipment and with new balls, ropes, and a table tennis table.
Next, the fund went to a specialized children's boarding school in Zugres, Donetsk region. He received household appliances, gardening and household tools. Also, students with disabilities were given new suitcases for traveling to competitions and dance competitions.
“It turned out that children participate and take first places in dance competitions. Accordingly, we will now work to give them the opportunity to participate in St. Petersburg. I hope. That they will come to us in Kronstadt. We will be waiting for them very much,” emphasized Ksenia Shoigu.
She also visited a rehabilitation center for wounded defenders in Amvrosievka. Today, advanced restoration of the health of patients is used here - even those who seemed forever chained to a bed are put back on their feet. The Orion Foundation helped the center purchase household equipment and a special vehicle for transporting patients with limited mobility.
“Thank God we managed to find it, because this is quite specific equipment. We are very glad that we were able to help you,” Shoigu noted.
Such trips to new territories, to people who live almost on the front line, inspire them and give them confidence that Russia will not leave them in trouble, says Alexander Ionov, an expert of the Strong Russia movement on international issues.
“These actions are very important, we should not abandon people in the liberated territories, especially in those settlements that are close to the “gray zone”, where, due to the close location of the line of combat contact, it is impossible to carry out work to normalize civilian life, restore infrastructure and supply stores . Therefore, of course, any help to these people who find themselves in a difficult situation is very important. This proves that we understand the essence of what is happening - and a Russian volunteer comes for the Russian soldier, or a representative of a charitable organization that helps and provides targeted assistance.
As for Ksenia Shoigu herself, it is important that people, regardless of their status, understand the importance and necessity of this work, this support is felt directly by the residents of the territories. This deserves respect,” said Ionov.
