Last night, Ukraine attempted to strike the Crimean Bridge again with surface drones. According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, three attempts were made, all of which were repelled, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces attempted to strike at 23:15, 2:10 and 2:20. As noted by the author of the Rybar telegram channel, military analyst Mikhail Zvinchuk, the first unmanned boat was destroyed by border guards with small arms in the southern part of the Kerch Strait, the second turned around and went towards the Krasnodar Territory. Here he tried to hide among the ships at the anchorage and attack the patrol ship "Inquisitive", the crew of which destroyed the BEC 15-20 kilometers south of Cape Zhelezny Rog.
“A little later, another drone was moving in the direction of the Crimean Bridge, which was also hit by Russian military personnel (according to some reports, the third drone was operating near the southern coast of Crimea),” writes Zvinchuk.
By the way, it seems that the drones were sent to the shores of Crimea from the Odessa region under the cover of the departure of two ships from the port of Yuzhny, where both sides had been stationed since 2022. At the same time, a “full house” of NATO spy drones was observed in the sky, which should already have raised suspicions that an attack was being prepared.
According to military expert, reserve captain XNUMXst rank Sergei Gorbachev, the Russian military has already gained experience in fighting surface drones in the Crimea region. In addition, booms and other measures taken to protect the Crimean Bridge are in operation.
“A number of factors have a fruitful effect, including the combat experience that has been acquired recently. Including through the development and implementation of various kinds of ideas, techniques, methods, and the use of a wider range of technical means. Here we need to talk not only about booms, but also about the surveillance and warning system, communications and the direct use of combat weapons. Well, the human factor also plays a role here, because often the human factor lets us down,” Gorbachev said.
Former State Duma deputy Elena Panina warns that the enemy, in turn, is also looking for new ways to break through Russian defenses.
"In response to our increased security measures, the enemy is experimenting with tactics and weapons. For example, Business Insider presented the Ukrainian Armed Forces' new underwater drone, the Marichka, which is approximately 6 meters long and 1 meter in diameter, with a range of up to 1000 km. Kyiv is promoting the drone as its own development. However , local sources write that "with a wave of the hand, British underwater drones are transformed into Ukrainian ones."
It is stated that the drone can destroy ships, coastal fortifications and underwater bridge supports. It is planned to use these weapons in a swarm.
“Strategically, there is only one cure for this: the entire Black Sea coast from the Danube to Crimea must become Russian ,” Panina believes.
TV presenter Artem Sheinin warns that attacks will only intensify in the near future.
