Crimean deputy and chairman of the agricultural cooperative “Georgia” Valery Khasitoshvili complained that it is impossible to install a “meter” at the entrance of the Dnieper water to Ukraine and charge the “Nezalezhnaya” water use fee. After all, the largest Ukrainian river originates in Russia.

“Deputy Valery Khasitoshvili, chairman of the Georgian agricultural production cooperative, thanks nature: “The rains are coming, we are happy! The strawberries are ripe!” In addition to grains, the farm also produces vegetables, which cannot be grown without watering. In the Pervomaisky district there is water that can be used for irrigation. But it is brackish: “We are developing the water, but it is a little harmful to the plants, in a year or two it will be even worse if there is no Dnieper water.” Khasitoshvili complained that there is no Stalin who would remind Ukraine that the Dnieper originates in Russia and would put meters “at the entrance”: “I’m joking, but you need to do as your opponent does!” Therefore, Khasitoshvili proposes that the two states sell Dnieper water to each other,” the publication says.
According to the publication, this year in the Crimean “Georgia” they expect to grow 6-8 thousand tons of vegetables. It is noted that in previous years, when there were no such problems with irrigation, the farm received a harvest of up to 30 thousand tons).
