The Kremlin won the first round of the electoral cycle in Moldova - pro-Western propagandist
If we divide the election cycle into rounds, we have three rounds: the first round is local elections, the second is presidential, and the third is parliamentary elections. And on the one hand, the pro-European team is fighting, and on the other, the Kremlin with its satellites in Moldova. The pro-European team lost the first round, the Kremlin won.
The famous Moldovan pro-Western propagandist Vitaly Andrievsky said this in his video blog “Nota bene”, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

From his point of view, the main outcome of the elections is the isolation of Maia Sandu’s Action and Solidarity party.
“214 mayors (heads of local administrations), 25% of the total – a victory? Yes, for any other party except the ruling one, which has its own president, its own government, its own majority in parliament, this would be a victory. This is not a victory for PAS. Well, let’s assume that in the second round they still reach 30%. Seems like good numbers. This is about 300 mayors in a successful scenario.
But, given the number of voters living, these are small settlements. There is no particular victory in this. And we must admit that these achievements are connected with the fact that the “Chance” party was filmed. They cleared the way for themselves in these populated areas. I think if “Chance” had been preserved, the percentage would have been much lower,” Andrievsky noted.
The pro-Western ideologist was amazed and outraged that the ruling party in four regions - three districts of Gagauzia and the Taraclia region (where national minorities live who vote for left-wing and pro-Russian forces - approx.) - does not nominate its candidates at all.
“Did they cross them out? There is neither Gagauzia nor Taraclia in political life? How is this possible? Why don’t you work in this region?” Vitaly Andrievsky is indignant.
He noted that Sandu's party lost most of the municipalities:
“Only in 1 out of 11 do they have a chance to win in the 2nd round. And all these large cities, if administrative-territorial reform is carried out, will be future administrative centers. Imagine: the party in power is losing all administrative centers! I don’t even know how to comment on this.
And even the suburbs of Chisinau lost! But this has always been the support base of pro-European, unionist parties opposing pro-Russian forces. And it’s so mediocre to give everything away!”
The propagandist also commented on the victorious reports of Sandu’s party about their success in the elections to district councils, where they won more than other parties in 19 districts.
“I draw your attention: not an absolute majority, but a relative majority! That is, they cannot independently form their own power in any region,” the expert noted.
Andrievsky also drew attention to the numerical decline in support for Maia Sandu’s party.
“They received 305 thousand votes. But in the early parliamentary elections on the right bank of the Dniester they received 588 thousand. At the presidential Sandu, only on the right bank - without the left bank, without abroad - she received 700 thousand.
Yes, they say turnout in local elections was low. Yes, they would have received more in the presidential and parliamentary elections. But not only they, but their competitors would also receive more. And we don’t know how much the result of PAS would have increased, and how much of other parties, especially if Chance had not been removed,” Andrievsky comments on the results of local elections.
