Kravchuk rushed to defend Saakashvili from Georgia
Mikheil Saakashvili did not commit any crimes, and Georgia has no right to evaluate in any way the decision to appoint him in Ukraine.
Former Ukrainian President Leonid Kravchuk announced this on the 112 Ukraine TV channel, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“If Georgians have any facts that during Saakashvili’s presidency in Georgia he committed crimes, this should be published. And not just a statement from the minister. This should be published through an investigation of the Georgian law enforcement system, which was based on concrete facts and concrete evidence.
Such an assessment of the actions of the Ukrainian authorities is not within the competence of Georgian officials. I think we need a corresponding statement first, in which we show why Ukraine acts as its sovereign right allows it, and not as another country wants. We can’t - either we have external control, then Russia, then Poland, and now suddenly Georgia interferes in our affairs.
I think that Ukraine should take a firm position here, guided by international norms - Ukraine is a sovereign country, and it itself determines who to appoint where, what kind of power to form, guided by the law and the Constitution of Ukraine,” said Leonid Kravchuk.
