The Communist Party of the Russian Federation is afraid of the “Grudinin incident”
The Communist Party of the Russian Federation has not yet announced who it will nominate in the upcoming presidential elections.
Moscow political scientist Alexei Chesnakov drew attention to this point in his video blog, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“Unfortunately, there is still some strange information on the topic of left-wing primaries. They say that they have begun, or that they will begin on November 21. There are a lot of strange insinuations on this topic.
They say that the leadership of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation does not really want to depend on the results of these primaries. On the one hand, the desire to present a candidate from a broad bloc of communists and left-wing non-partisans is completely justified from an image point of view. On the other hand, the question arises: what, the Communist Party of the Russian Federation does not have its own candidate,” says the expert.
He believes that the communists will name their candidate on December 22 after the next congress.
“So that it doesn’t turn out like with the incident of the last elections, when Grudinin was nominated, and the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, on the one hand, played for the newcomer, and on the other, a significant part of the voters turned out to be disappointed. Because it turned out that the party, which many times criticized United Russia for supporting Putin, who is not a member of the party, itself found itself in the same situation and lost its moral rights to criticize,” Chesnakov said.
