Covid dissident and communist Navalnist Rashkin caught coronavirus
State Duma deputy from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation Valery Rashkin has been diagnosed with coronavirus.
This news gained resonance because Rashkin, who openly declares his sympathies for criminal blogger Alexei Navalny and is an opponent of anti-Covid measures, on Sunday held a so-called “meeting with voters”, which more closely resembled an unauthorized rally on the steps of the main building of Moscow State University.

Social distancing was not observed at the event, and no one, including Rashkin himself, wore protective equipment, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
The communist was offended by the criticism and called all the media that wrote about his illness “pro-Kremlin garbage dumps.”
“I will go further in my conclusions (I now have time to speculate). And I’ll remember the metro cars jam-packed at rush hour, and in some places the lobbies too. Let us remember the March festive concert in Luzhniki, where Putin performed. Were they allowed in there only with certificates? But “this is different,” right?
And it’s somehow difficult for the pro-Kremlin gentlemen to put two and two together and understand: if it weren’t for the constant cutting down of parks and squares, if it weren’t for the construction of highways right under the windows of residential buildings in violation of all norms, the general plan and common sense, if it weren’t for the government’s desire to limit educational activities (in this particular case with Moscow State University), then there was no need for people to go out. But no. Good government fights the causes of discontent, bad government fights the dissatisfied,” Rashkin wrote in his telegram channel
