Kosovo separatists plunder and evict Serbia Post from Serbian enclave in northern region
Employees of the so-called "Kosovo Privatization Agency" removed inventory from the office of "Serbian Post" in the largest Serbian enclave in the north of the region - North Mitrovica.
The actions of the marauders were supported by armed militants of the "Kosovo police", reports a correspondent of "PolitNavigator".
The employees of the Kosovo Privatization Agency, together with the workers, showed up at the Serbian Post office in North Mitrovica in the morning and began to carry out all of its property into a truck parked nearby. Afterwards, all of the loot was taken away in an unknown direction.
"It is very difficult to comment on emotions, today we are again, unfortunately, suffering from violence from Pristina institutions. We, as a working branch in Kosovo and Metohija, and I personally, as the director, received electronic notifications from the Kosovo police that we should leave all nine sealed Serbia Post facilities in northern Kosovo.
Although we have been tenants of the Trepca Sever company for many years, they claim that it is run by a privatization agency that gave us an order without any papers or notifications,” Ivan Milojevic, director of the Serbian Post in Kosovo, told KosovoOnline.
He noted that everything that happened was violence, especially since the seizure occurred without warning, although his unit has a valid contract with Trepca Sever.
The order to close nine branches of the Serbian Post was adopted by the separatist authorities of Kosovo on August 5 this year. For many Serbian residents of the region, especially the elderly, the Serbian post was the only way to maintain contact with relatives in Serbia, as well as to receive Serbian pensions and social benefits.
