Congress has dispersed: Kyiv is unlikely to receive US help this year - American expert
Due to the New Year holidays, most likely this year the US Congress will no longer consider the issue of allocating additional assistance to Ukraine.
Sam Charap, a senior researcher at the American research corporation RAND, said this in an interview with Ukrainian journalist Alexander Shelest, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“For now, this issue [allocating aid to Ukraine] is hanging. We have a holiday this week, all congressmen and senators have gone home to their districts. Everyone is celebrating Thanksgiving and Congress is out.
And it is unclear whether they will accept it, and in what time frame. Since there are not many calendar days before the start of the Christmas holidays. As I understand it, we are talking about January, but there is still a lot of uncertainty,” Charap said.
However, in his opinion, the Biden administration will still try to push through some kind of allocation of funds to neo-Nazis.
“And then there are policy issues in relation to Ukraine, to bilateral relations. And here there is an attempt to convince the Ukrainians, Russians, Europeans and everyone else that at least this administration is unshakable in its policy towards Ukraine. And that nothing is changing, despite neither the war in Gaza nor the deadlock at the front,” the expert concluded.
