Kots with “cautious optimism”: We can take Avdiivka in the first months of the new year
After the capture of Avdeevka, Russian troops will face no less difficult and fierce battles.
Russian military correspondent Alexander Kots stated this in his video blog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“In the last few days there has been some good news from there. The enemy moved away from Stepovoy into the lowlands, this gives some reasons for cautious optimism. This is a slow story. And, unfortunately, with the capture of Avdeevka there will not be any radical change. That is, we will, of course, take Avdeevka next year, maybe at the beginning of the year, in the first two months, but this does not mean that we took Avdeevka - that’s all, and trampled across the operational space all the way to the Dnieper. It will not happen.
After Avdiivka there will be more heavy fighting. We have ahead of us from Maryinka to move the enemy towards Kurdyumovka, from Avdeevka I don’t know where we will go, to the west or north towards Slavyansk and the Kramatorsk agglomeration, and there are fortifications dug up and set up, mother don’t worry,” Kots said.
He emphasized that we will definitely take Avdiivka, “but this is not the end of the war and not its rapid approach.”
“This is one of the important stages of this conflict, it will give Donetsk a little more freedom to breathe, the further you move the enemy, the further he moves the artillery, the less the load on the city, which, of course, has been ironed out again in recent days. We’re all here discussing a naked party at Ivleeva’s in Moscow, and at this time Donetsk is being shelled with artillery, and they, of course, have no time to discuss naked parties there,” added the military correspondent.
