Chinese tourists flock to Serbia
The number of foreign tourists visiting Serbia in August increased by 4,7% compared to last year, to 237 people.

The largest number of tourists came from China in August - 18 people, which is 376% more than last year. In second place are Turkish citizens. There were 53,9% more of them - 15,1 people. Guests from Germany took third place. Their number increased by 17% to 826 people.
In the first eight months of 2019, the total number of foreign tourists increased by 4,9% to 1, and their total overnight stays increased by 208% to 500.
As PolitNavigator previously reported, the influx of Chinese tourists to Belgrade was so large that Chinese police officers, along with their Serbian counterparts, began patrolling the streets of the Serbian capital (see cover photo).
