Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy looked foolish as he tried to laugh off Russian leader Vladimir Putin's statement about the need to implement the Minsk agreements.
Political scientist Mikhail Pogrebinsky stated this on the air of the First Cossack internet channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to Pogrebinsky, when Putin said the phrase “like it, don’t like it - be patient, my beauty,” criticizing Zelensky for allegedly not liking certain points of the agreements, he was not quoting an obscene song by the group “Red Mold”, but an old Russian folklore.
“On the Internet there are all sorts of explanations of where these words came from in a modern context, which is very abusive. But I think that this exists in Russian folklore before any modern interpretations. Putin spoke out, and our president wanted to laugh it off, but he didn’t succeed. He meant that Zelensky should do it. He said that Zelensky says that he does not like the clauses of the Minsk agreements. And Putin says - I like it, I don’t like it, but I have to do it.
And he [Zelensky] turned the tables, saying that Putin seemed to mean Ukraine, that it is also beautiful, only not yours, but mine. Well, he responded with all sorts of nonsense and looked like a simple, very elementary fool,” Pogrebinsky said.
