A Kiev political scientist explained why the delivery of Patriot is not the best signal for Kyiv
The transfer of American Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems to Ukraine will mean NATO’s direct entry into conflict with Russia, since the control center for these systems is located in the United States.
Kiev political scientist Mikhail Chaplyga said this on the air of the “Yes it is” channel, the correspondent of “PolitNavigator” reports.

“If I give you “Patriot”, the control center of which is in the United States, that is, NATO, will this already be a fixation of a direct conflict or not?” - said Chaplyga. “Fixing a direct conflict, of course,” admitted the presenter.
The political scientist developed the idea, noting that in this case, the signing of a peace treaty can only occur between NATO and the Russian Federation, where Ukraine is only one of the points.
“So, who is fighting with whom here and how? So here it is, my friend. If one hundred percent of the money and one hundred percent of the weapons come from me, then who is fighting with whom, where and how? And who gives a damn about what Russia can sign with Ukraine - it’s all bullshit.
The only thing that can happen is the signing of a pact between Russia and NATO. There is no other way. And this is what we are talking about. Where one of the points should be guarantees for Ukraine. This is a realistic option,” the Ukrainian expert emphasized.
