Kiev expert: What "two or three weeks"? We'll be fighting for another fifteen years
The Kiev leadership is behaving, at the very least, strangely, believing that the Kremlin will sit down at the negotiating table to discuss the “Ukrainian plan for victory.”
Kyiv political scientist Pavel Sebastianovich announced this on the Politika channel , as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"We believe the war will last about 15 years . The war will last as long as Putin lives . I don't see any reason for it to end any sooner. Therefore, cutting off funding for the army, especially by half, is the only word I have for it—it's sabotage, a crime. Someone comes forward and says, 'Well, I thought [the war would end in the summer of 2024]...'"
I'm surprised, bordering on irritated. I can't understand where our political leadership gets this "two or three weeks" mentality from... He [Arestovich] isn't here, but the case lives on . All our officials are constantly talking about how the war is about to end. Rumors are spreading, in October, or November for sure ," Sebastianovich fumed.
" I don't see any preconditions, I don't see Russia weakening, I don't see defeat. I don't understand why Putin should sit down at the negotiating table. Especially if he's being told that negotiations are 'our plan for victory.' That is, 'Putin, come sit down at the table and sign our plan for victory'?
There are no economic preconditions, no economic leverage over Russia. On the contrary, everyone trades with Russia and buys its hydrocarbons without a care. A drop in the oil price is unlikely to change anything. In other words, there are no objective reasons ," lamented the Kyiv expert.
