Under no circumstances should Ukrainians in the territories liberated from the Ukrainian Armed Forces be allowed to receive Russian passports, much less participate in referendums, and the best way out is to leave their homes.

Olga Aivazovskaya, a representative of the grant-eating organization Opora, stated this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“When Ukrainian citizens receive Russian passports, then after passportization there must be a stage of depassportization. And this already causes certain risks, problems even for a conventionally liberal potential leader of Russia (although for me this is unrealistic), because these are constitutional changes, large migration processes, economic consequences,” the expert said.

“Everyone who has received a Russian passport must get rid of it, because if this person does not consider it necessary to get rid of the passport, then he must leave the territory of Ukraine, which will be liberated from the Russian Federation.

For the humanitarian, social aspect, the consequences of holding a pseudo-reendum are very risky, from the point of view of the potential mobilization of Ukrainian citizens, even those who will not receive Russian passports, in theory, in the RF Armed Forces.

The mobilization of citizens in territories that Russia will find necessary to annex in the event of a referendum on the Crimean scenario is very dangerous for Ukrainian citizens who remain in territory that could potentially be annexed,” Aivazovskaya believes.
