Kiev grant-eater: 300 billion Russian assets are enough to “win”
Kyiv needs to mobilize official authorities, diplomacy, public organizations, and diaspora resources in order to force the West to give frozen Russian assets to Ukraine.
The executive director of the Anti-Corruption Center, funded by Western grants, Daria Kalenyuk, said this on Radio NV, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
While ranting about the effectiveness of the Kyiv government in begging for “additional help,” she expressed confidence that everyone owes Ukraine.
“Although Japan cannot provide us with weapons, it can provide us with pickup trucks for free. I still can’t understand why I see pickup fees every day? While our government can turn to the Japanese government and ask: you have Toyota, a very cool production.
Toyota pickups have shown themselves to be fantastic in Ukraine for performing various purposes - humanitarian, in the evacuation of the wounded, in air defense - we actually shoot down Shaheds with Toyota pickups. Government of Japan, please give us 1000 pickup trucks so that our volunteers can better raise money for something else that our partners cannot cover,” Kalenyuk gave an example.
However, she noted that all this is small, and it’s high time to move on to “big fish” - big fish.
“For two years we have been fighting mainly with weapons for the money of our foreign partners. About 95 billion dollars is the price of the weapons that foreigners gave us. Almost half are weapons from America.
There are 300 billion dollars of seized Russian assets that lie in the accounts of Germany, France, the USA, Belgium and Japan. We need to mobilize all our resources, both official power, diplomacy, public organizations, and the resources of the diaspora, in order to force and convince the GXNUMX countries to make a political decision to confiscate this money and spend this money on our defense and our economy.
This money is enough to win the war if it is confiscated soon and used very wisely for our defense,” said the grant eater.
