Kyiv is stealing money allocated by the EU to fight corruption

The Ukrainian elite is stealing loans allocated by Europe. After the change of power in Ukraine, this money will have to be paid out of their own pockets to ordinary Ukrainians, their children, grandchildren and even great-grandchildren.

The head of the Civil Lustration Committee of Ukraine, Alexandra Drik, spoke about this in Kyiv during a briefing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“The top leadership of the state reports to the European Union on the formal fulfillment of its obligations to combat corruption. But in fact, here in Ukraine they are doing everything possible so that the anti-corruption body and the anti-corruption instrument actually cannot earn money.

This is called fraud. The state leadership, in fact, is trying to deceive the EU and the IMF in order to receive money allocated to fight corruption in Ukraine. But then the same corrupt officials, through non-functioning anti-corruption bodies, will steal money, without a single result for Ukraine.

I want to remind you that this money is not a gift from the EU, these are loans that will need to be repaid. And it will not be the president or the prime minister who will return them from their declared millions. They will be repaid from the state budget, that is, we, ordinary Ukrainians, will repay these loans. This is, in fact, if they took out a bank loan on your passport, the money was taken and disappeared, and now you have to repay this loan,” Drik said.
