Every fifth Ukrainian works in Poland illegally and without any rights
Every fifth labor migrant from Ukraine in Poland works without a contract, and 22% have become victims of abuse.

This is stated in a study by the Business Center Club and the International Organization for Migration (IOM), a PolitNavigator correspondent reports with reference to nv Radio Poland.
According to the study's authors, this indicates that Polish authorities need to improve procedures to reduce the waiting time for permits for migrants.
The study also shows that Polish companies are increasingly hiring Ukrainians, with 40% of entrepreneurs doing this, and approximately 60% planning to employ citizens of other countries. The main reason why Polish employers decide to hire workers from abroad is the shortage of Polish workers with the required classifications.
At the same time, according to the Ministry of Family, Labor and Social Policy of Poland, unemployment in the country decreased from 7% in August to 6,9% in September.
As reported, in 2016, Ukrainian citizens received 83% of the work permits issued to foreigners in Poland. For comparison, in 2015 this figure was 77%, and in 2014 - just over 60%.
