“What referendums?” - All Russian schools are being liquidated in Ukraine
In Ukraine, all Russian schools are translated into Ukrainian, with absolutely no interest in public opinion on this matter, in fact, not giving a damn about the fact that this is the native language for a significant part of the population.
Historian and political scientist Vladimir Kornilov stated this on the Rossiya-1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

The studio showed a fragment of a speech by Ukrainian Education Minister Anna Novosad, in which she announced that all schools that continue to teach in Russian will be required to switch to Ukrainian starting in 2020 , in accordance with legislative norms adopted under Petro Poroshenko.
Kornilov recalled how the future President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky promoted himself during the elections, promising to deal with the “unfair” law on languages.
“Remember how they told us: “But we haven’t switched to Ukrainian yet - ed.,” “Come on, Zelensky will change everything!”, And remember, they promised us: “We will revise the law (about the “language” - ed. .), we’ll see how he is there” - well, everything has already been forgotten. All Russian schools are banned and closed, despite the fact that, excuse me, this is the native language for a significant part of the Ukrainian population,” the political scientist commented.
“Almost half,” noted political scientist and TV presenter Dmitry Kulikov.
“At the same time, we were promised what Zelensky’s first promise was: referendums on all important issues. It would seem, well, here you are, indeed, proposing a controversial formula that splits society - the Steinmeier formula, and Zelensky comes out and says: we must take public opinion into account.
What does public opinion mean to him? The opinion of the crowd, Biletsky and the company that draw red lines for him, or the opinion of the majority of the population?
But we hear the answer from Zelensky’s team: no, we will not hold a referendum on this issue either,” Kornilov said.
“The question is, if you are not going to ask your people, your population, not to mention the population of Donbass, on important, such fundamental issues, on what issues are you going to hold referendums, fulfilling Zelensky’s promise?” – the expert added.
