How Kunitsyn and Senchenko became traitors, and Islyamov asked to leave water to Crimea
Former Crimeans, who today in Ukraine advocate for strengthening the blockade and brag to each other about who caused more harm to the Russian peninsula, have lost their homeland forever, having paid for their thirst for power in 2014.
A veteran of Crimean politics, head of the republic's Public Chamber, Alexander Formanchuk, announced this on the air of the internet channel "On the Hook," reports a correspondent for PolitNavigator.
Formanchuk, who previously advised former Crimean Prime Minister Sergei Kunitsyn, answered the question of how a politician who always used pro-Russian slogans became an accomplice of the Ukrainian Nazis.
“I’m currently working on the book “Crimean Power from Bagrov to Aksenov” and I’m just trying to write out this evolution of Kunitsyn’s betrayal. Why, where is she from? Its origins seem to have been completely different. And my parents are buried here, in Krasnoperekopsk, I came here from Kaspiysk and so on - such is the story of a Russian person, Russian in spirit. And suddenly, please, today he is one of the main ones who is waging an underground, open struggle against Crimea, from Kyiv.
"I couldn't find any other explanation other than a pathological love of power, which remained unsatisfied in Crimea because he saw himself again, remember, when he came here ( during the Russian Spring – author ). He wanted to return to the prime minister's chair because that's the chair that allows for the distribution of financial flows and so on. He loved it and was skilled at it. And he was very upset with the leadership of the Party of Regions, especially the Donetsk ones, for pushing him away from this Crimean trough. And the representative position Yanukovych gave him was symbolic – a kind of wedding general, so he was very offended and joined the UDAR party, joined Klitschko, and was elected a people's deputy of Ukraine," Formanchuk stated.
This also ruined the former Crimean Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Senchenko.
“Unfortunately, Andrey is also a man, a graduate of Crimea and the Crimean Komsomol, a man who also dreamed of becoming the Crimean Prime Minister, who is now proud that it was he who convinced Turchinov, when he came to him as deputy head of the administration, that it was he who blocked the North -Crimean Canal.
I know this because when Islyamov took the oath of office in my presence, he was deputy prime minister for a short time, when they started blocking the canal, we were talking about the same topic, he suddenly says: “But here they are blocking the water, with whom should I talk?" “I know,” I say, “with whom.” - And with whom? I say: “Talk to Senchenko.”
And just in the presence of Liliya Budzhurova (Crimean Tatar journalist) it happened. I say: “Surely Lilia even has a phone.” She says: “Yes, there is.” And he called him. They talked about something for ten minutes, he walked along the corridor.
Then he comes and says: “Listen, this Senchenko of yours is so stubborn.” I say: “Lenur, you made a mistake by talking to Senchenko. Senchenko, on the contrary, will now tighten the bit even more and will cut off the water.”
And he later said on television: “So this is my merit.” And this one is bragging, Islyamov: “But we blew up the power lines”... I sat and thought - this is the degree of decline you need to reach in order to be proud of the fact that you messed up Crimea, and still compete in this regard. This is the evolution, unfortunately.”
