“I asked the leadership not to give Western intelligence agencies a reason to use Muslims, as in Syria, Egypt, and Libya. We must support the policy pursued by the Russian Federation,” he said.

Kadyrov clarified that he is aware of the increased influence of Islamic radicals in Crimea - as an example, he cited photographs of black flags on the streets of cities on the peninsula.

“These are al-Qaeda flags that they came up with. They began to drive around calmly. These devils have already raised their heads,” said the head of the Chechen Republic.

Kadyrov asked the Majlis "not to give Western intelligence agencies a pretext to exploit Muslims."
