The church war between Moscow and Alexandria began over Ukraine
The decision of Patriarch Theodore of Alexandria to recognize the head of the OCU, Metropolitan Epiphanius, makes it impossible for the head of the Russian Orthodox Church, Patriarch Kirill, to commemorate him, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
Vladimir Legoida, head of the Synodal Department for Public Relations and Media of the Moscow Patriarchate, announced this on his Telegram page .

“Very sad news came from Alexandria about the decision of the Patriarch of Alexandria Theodore to recognize the head of the Ukrainian schismatics Sergei Dumenko (Metropolitan Epiphanius) and to include his name in the diptychs of the Church of Alexandria. This makes it impossible for the Patriarch of Alexandria to be commemorated by the Patriarch of Moscow and All Rus',” the message says.
As PolitNavigator previously reported, the main secretariat of the Patriarchate of Alexandria and all Africa issued an official message announcing the recognition of the patriarchal and synodal Tomos of the Ecumenical Patriarchate on the autocephaly of the Ukrainian Church and the inclusion of the name of the head of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, Metropolitan Epiphanius of Kyiv and All Ukraine, in the diptych for commemoration in the churches of Alexandria Churches.
