EIT results: schoolchildren from western Ukraine know the Ukrainian language and history worse than anyone else in the country
The largest percentage of participants in external independent assessment who did not pass the External Examination in Ukrainian language and literature and history of Ukraine was recorded in the Transcarpathian, Chernivtsi and Rivne regions.

The director of the Ukrainian Center for Assessment of the Quality of Education, Vadim Karandiy, announced this during a press conference.
“The largest percentage of participants in external independent assessment who did not pass the External Assessment in Ukrainian language and literature and history of Ukraine was recorded in Transcarpathian (27,3% and 29,2%, respectively), Chernivtsi (20,9% and 29,1%) and Rivne (14,9% and 18,3%) regions. In the Transcarpathian region, the language factor is very significant. If we take the number of languages of national minorities, the Transcarpathian region is the most diverse,” the official said.
He also noted that the best EIT results were obtained by participants from Kyiv, where almost 40% of those who have results from 160 to 200 points, as well as from Lviv - 28%.
“Kyiv is generally a leader, and perhaps this is a feature of the capital, it attracts intellectual resources, but there is one subject that has lost its leadership - this is chemistry and the Lviv region has a leading position,” added Vadim Karandiy.
