According to the results of 2015, Ukraine will show an economic decline of 17%; today the former Soviet republic is becoming poorer than all neighboring countries; it will take decades to catch up with their level.
Oleg Ustenko, executive director of the International Blazer Foundation, stated this at a round table in Kyiv.

“By the end of the year, GDP per capita will be less than 2 thousand dollars. For comparison: Poland will end 2015 with a GDP per capita of about 15 thousand dollars, poor Romania - 6 thousand dollars.
Now think about how fast the Ukrainian economy must grow to catch up with poor Romania. At a growth rate of 5% per year, Ukraine will catch up with Romania, which is growing at 2% per year, by the thirties. Poland, which will continue its current growth of 1,5-2%, will be overtaken by Ukraine, with a growth of 5%, by the early forties,” says Oleg Ustenko.
