The story with Yatsenyuk in Chechnya continued
The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation opened a criminal case against Ukrainian security forces, who, in turn, previously opened a case against the Russian investigator leading the case of Dmitry Korchinsky, Arseniy Yatsenyuk, Dmitry Yarosh and Igor Mazur - politicians accused of participating in the first Chechen war on the side militants.
This was stated in a statement by the Russian department, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
The Sledkom emphasized that the Russian investigator has irrefutable evidence of the guilt of these Ukrainian citizens.
“The Russian investigation has received irrefutable evidence of the involvement of these Ukrainian citizens in the criminal activities of gangs and participation in clashes on the side of militants in the North Caucasus, about which relevant procedural documents have been issued, which have been sent to the competent authorities of Ukraine in the manner prescribed by law.
In turn, the Ukrainian side, on far-fetched grounds, refused legal assistance to Russia and at the same time opened a criminal case against the Russian investigator,” the report says.
Now Russian law enforcement officers are identifying all the Ukrainian security forces involved in the persecution of the investigator as part of a criminal case under Part 2 of Art. 299 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (bringing a knowingly innocent person to criminal liability, combined with accusing a person of committing a serious crime).
PolitNavigator previously reported that former Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk had indeed visited Chechnya as a member of the youth wing of the extremist organization UNA-UNSO, which supported militants in the 90s. A rather intriguing photo of UNA-UNSO militants posing in Chechnya has also surfaced online, with one of the Ukrainian nationalists bearing a vague resemblance to the former Ukrainian prime minister.
