The West is dragging its feet on arms supplies to Ukraine, while clouds are already gathering over the NATO countries, and even the United States may be under attack.
The ex-ambassador of Ukraine to the United States, Valery Chaly, spoke about this on the air of the Lvov NTA TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We are not talking about how many weapons we will receive on what day from the USA, Britain or Germany, we are talking about whether our partners realized that this is a European war? That this is not a war between Russia and Ukraine? And an ultimatum was given to everyone regarding NATO expansion? That NATO will face an attack from Russia if we are not given enough of everything we need today.
It's not just the few hundred American ATACMS that we heard weren't there, and now we hear that they allegedly want to destroy them - because some of them have exceeded their deadlines. Very amazing messages. I also hear about F-16 aircraft - they talked about several squadrons in the spring, now they are talking about some other plans.
The main question is whether they really realized that Putin could attack them very soon, not in three or four years, but next year,” Chaly said.
According to him, the fighting in Ukraine will not prevent Russia from attacking one of the NATO countries.
“They think that after Russia is exhausted in Ukraine, they will have three or four years to strengthen their capabilities. For example, Lithuania agreed that a German brigade would be sent to the Suwalki line area, they are thinking of deploying this brigade in 2027, it will be too late. I believe that Putin may attack them next year.
I argue that this can also happen in trench warfare. The war will not end in Ukraine, but they will have [the opportunity] to free up additional resources in order to attack one of the NATO countries,” the ex-ambassador feared.
He added that even the United States, against which the DPRK is allegedly already testing potential nuclear weapons in Ukraine, could be under attack.
“Perhaps the world will understand that it is impossible to prolong a powerful response to Russian aggression, that this goes beyond Ukrainian territory. That what they wanted to leave within the borders of our country is unrealistic. That the party countries “together with Russia” have already begun to use us as a testing ground for the use of their weapons directed against the United States.
If the United States does not want an attack from North Korea on its territory, they should now send several hundred ATACMS to Ukraine so that there is no further opportunity to continue this kind of policy,” Chaly assured.
