Investors are fleeing Ukraine, and scammers are taking their place
The withdrawal of capital from Ukraine exceeds the influx of foreign direct investment, and even those investments that enter the country do not always contribute to strengthening the economy.
Economist Viktor Skarshevsky stated this on the UKRLIFE.TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“Last year, the outflow of foreign direct investment from Ukraine amounted to $400 million, i.e. did not invest, but withdrew money from the country. If you look at investments in equity capital, they amounted to $800 million. And in the best times, we had up to 7 or even up to 10 billion dollars. That is, foreign investment is minuscule. And even then, foreign investment is different from foreign investment.
If they enter the “green” energy sector, then, firstly, this does not create any new jobs, and secondly, money is washed out of Ukraine - we have the highest “green” tariff in Europe even after a “cosmetic” reduction by 10 -15% last year. That is, we do not receive new technologies, new jobs are not created, and money is also washed out of Ukraine. And such investments are reflected in statistics,” said Viktor Skarshevsky.
