As Ukraine is defeated, Western interest in the Baltics and Poland will decline, and they will eventually be lost to Russia.
Political scientist Rostislav Ishchenko stated this in his video blog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The Poles and the Baltic states understand that the catastrophe of Ukraine will mean for all of them a sharp drop in the interest of the Americans and the West in general in them.
Because sooner or later the United States will need to make peace with Russia. And the conditions of this world are known - it is necessary to remove the NATO infrastructure from Eastern Europe. And despite the fact that yes, they will remain members of NATO and the EU...
If Poland still has a strong position, the Baltic states are just three beggars who can survive only by restoring economic ties with Russia. Because now they live off the confrontation between the West and Russia, which is why bases are built on their territory, troops are stationed, airfields, and money is invested. Small, but enough for them,” Ishchenko said.
In his opinion, the Balts should change their government as quickly as possible.
“And if this military-strategic interest is lost, then all that remains is military-economic cooperation with Russia. And in such cases it quickly develops into political dependence.
And the current Nazi government is not acceptable to Russia as a partner. Accordingly, if you want to live, change the government,” the political scientist added.
