Relatives of the mobilized, who gathered near the Sumy city hall, said that their husbands underwent 45 days of training, but during this time they only shot twice. After which, instead of demobilization, they were sent to a combat zone without water, food or ammunition. There are practically no opportunities to communicate with loved ones: a few seconds of communication, and not every day. Based on fragmentary information, a picture emerges: every second person is sick, but there is no cure.

The mayor of Sumy, Alexander Lysenko, in a comment to the 1+1 TV channel, assured that helmets are already undergoing customs clearance, body armor will also be, and money is being allocated from the city and regional budgets for these purposes.

But there is no clear answer when the bulletproof vests will reach the battalion. Meanwhile, desperate relatives of the fighters are uniting in groups on social networks, making lists of necessary things for the Sumy battalion and looking for military consultants.

“We need someone who understands. If they show us this plate, we don’t know what protection class it is,” said the wife of one of the mobilized, Natalya Primenko, noting that the wait for foreigners is long, and domestic production capacities are busy.

The women gave an ultimatum: either urgently provide bulletproof vests to the soldiers, or they will personally drive the Kyiv generals to the front line.

Let us remind you that earlier in Kyiv they said that they would provide the military with protective equipment in the near future, but Kevlar body armor will not be available until August.
