“And there’s no point in twitching.” Zapad 2021 exercises were an unpleasant surprise for NATO
The Zapad 2021 exercises showed that Western bloc countries no longer have military superiority over Russia.
One of Russia's leading military experts, editor-in-chief of the magazine "Arsenal of the Fatherland," Viktor Murakhovsky, spoke about this in an interview with Moskovsky Komsomolets, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The expert believes that the most important thing at these maneuvers was the coordinated use of almost all types and branches of the armed forces. He also emphasized that today the system of command and control of Russian troops “from mobile to airborne and in-depth command posts is a single integral mechanism.”
According to him, in Western countries there are military specialists who perfectly understood everything that was demonstrated at the Zapad-2021 exercises.
“I think the main thing – and I am absolutely convinced of this – is that they realized that it was not worth even twitching in our direction. It is impossible to take any serious actions against Russia using military force. And I'm not even talking about weapons of mass destruction. Here they have long understood: if anything happens, they will definitely have to die,” the specialist noted.
“In this case, I’m talking about their hope, which existed for a long time when they believed that they were superior to Russia in the western direction (for them, however, this is the eastern direction) in control systems, high-tech weapons, reconnaissance equipment and the like,” – summed up Murakhovsky.
