The upcoming BRICS summit will be a turning point for the fate of the West - Kiev political scientist
The BRICS summit, which is to be held in October in Kazan, will be fateful for the whole world and very frightening for Western countries.
Kiev political scientist Andrei Ermolaev said this on air on the Politeka Internet channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

«The upcoming BRICS summit will undoubtedly be a turning point. At the last summit, decisions were expected not only on expansion, not only on new forms of cooperation between countries. Radical decisions were expected on a new model of interaction, in particular, on the possible creation of even a joint reserve currency and settlement system.
So, apparently, at the next BRICS summit in October, which will be held in Kazan, Russia, such a decision will at least be considered. In terms of its scale, this decision is akin to another global bifurcation point,” Ermolaev said.
“Iran is now a member of BRICS. He has become an active participant in all the so-called Eurasian integration structures, but the very fact that he visualizes this information means that Iran will be an active player. This is a gas and oil country, one of the economic leaders in the Middle East, a participant in such an alliance... this is a very serious argument.
The Western world, which follows events in the Middle East, which deals a lot with Iran and its policies, is undoubtedly dissatisfied with Iran's participation in these Eurasian structures and new global structures. I have no doubt about it, because this is a serious trump card in these big solitaire games.
If the BRICS countries become stronger in composition and make such fateful decisions, this could be very serious. In general, this is what they say in cards - this is a distortion of the cards. The year 2025 will be very difficult in this case,” the political scientist concluded.
