Ukrainian Prime Minister Vladimir Groysman was reminded of Nazi Germany by the passports that Russia issues to Ukrainian citizens.

“Russia has started issuing fake Russian passports for Ukrainian citizens. Why fake? Because we all absolutely understand that this is illegal. This is a violation of any international norms. We have never recognized and will not recognize any citizenship issued by an aggressor country.
This is, you know, how Nazi Germany issued Ausweiss for certain people. We have our passport, Ukrainian, and we are proud of it. And he is a symbol of freedom and democracy. And therefore, today the Ukrainian government will make a decision to recognize all passports that will be issued to Ukrainian citizens on our territory, on the territory of a sovereign Ukrainian state, as illegal,” Groysman said.
