Two committees of the State Duma of the Russian Federation sent a request to Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin in connection with the illegal deportation of 10 Russians from Chisinau airport a week ago.
The State Duma asks the Russian government to respond to the unfriendly actions of Moldova and asks to inform parliament about what retaliatory measures will be taken in response.
Russian political scientists and public figures were detained and deported because they were heading to Tiraspol for the presidential elections in Transnistria, which the Moldovan authorities do not recognize. After the elections, Russian journalist Semyon Pegov was rudely detained at the airport.
