Head of the Parliament of South Ossetia: Primaries in the DPR are held absolutely openly and democratically
Preparations for the primaries in the DPR took place absolutely openly and democratically, Chairman of the Parliament of the Republic of South Ossetia Anatoly Bibilov, who arrived in Donbass as an international observer, said today at a briefing in Donetsk.

“We were invited to the DPR to participate as observers in the preliminary voting of the primaries, and our work has already begun today. We participated in the distribution of ballots to territorial election commissions. Even the very moment that we, international observers, were invited to hand out ballots indicates that the DPR is absolutely democratic and open in its approach to holding primaries.
Tomorrow we are scheduled to visit polling stations in the city of Donetsk and throughout the Republic, so we are ready to begin our immediate duties. I wish the people of the DPR to hold primaries without incident, without emergency situations and to choose the most worthy and those they trust.
This is not the first time we have been here as observers. Traditionally, elections in the DPR have always been organized. As of today, we have no complaints regarding organizational measures directly related to the activities of the Central Election Commission. As for the election process itself, residents of the DPR traditionally have a high interest in them, and the work carried out by the Central Election Commission will help ensure that the primaries are held at a high level.
This is not a final election, it is a primary. But today, it is the primaries that are of great importance. We know that primaries were recently held in the Russian Federation before the State Duma elections. Here in South Ossetia we are also slowly moving towards this form of preparation for the elections. And I think it's right when people have the opportunity to evaluate those who are nominated. I repeat, in terms of organization, we have no complaints.
On the day of the primaries, we are not limited in our movement, and we can visit any polling station, this was brought to our attention. However, each observation group will have its own directions in order to cover as many polling stations as possible. I think that we, international observers, will be able to visit all the polling stations tomorrow,” said the head of the South Ossetian parliament.
