Head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine: From January 5, Russians will be prohibited from leaving the Russian Federation and Belarus
Mobilization in Russia supposedly did not stop for a day, but tomorrow the only change will appear in the form of a ban on male citizens of the Russian Federation to travel outside the state.
The head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine, Kirill Budanov, said this on air on the 1+1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

Budanov was reminded of his own words that on January 5 in Russia “a new wave of mobilization will begin,” and they asked whether everything was in force.
“In fact, mobilization in Russia, this process did not stop, it has been going on all this time, continues now and will continue tomorrow and the day after tomorrow.
Starting tomorrow, restrictions on travel abroad will begin for Russians from the territory of the Russian Federation and Belarus. When they announce the mobilization - tomorrow or, for example, on the 16th, it does not matter, because officially they will begin all processes from tomorrow. These are formalities.
The only thing that will change for males in Russia is that they will be blocked from leaving, this is the only obvious change that will happen from tomorrow,” the head of intelligence promised.
Russian political scientist Sergei Markov explains why Budanov is lying.
“In Russia there are holidays until January 8th. Therefore, this is all a lie of the Kyiv regime.
But the truth is that this regime, before the New Year holidays, began a large-scale campaign of disseminating disinformation about a new mobilization in Russia immediately after the holidays.
There will be no new mobilization now. The Russian army with 300 thousand mobilized will try to solve all military problems. And only based on the results of this winter military campaign will any decisions be made,” Markov believes.
The deputy from the State Duma Defense Committee, General Andrei Gurulev, similarly refutes the Ukrainian side.
“I don’t see the need to carry out another stage of mobilization in the next six months. There are no prerequisites or conditions for this. Even those who were mobilized earlier have not yet been fully introduced into the battle. Well, our industry must reach the point where it will be able to provide the next wave of mobilization. My opinion is that it is simply ineffective to do this in the next six months,” the deputy told Chita.Ru.
