Head of the DPR: The speed of issuing Russian passports has doubled
Thanks to the effective work of the Migration Service of the Donetsk People's Republic, the speed of issuing passports of the Russian Federation and DPR in Donbass has increased.
The head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, stated this in an interview on the Union channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“We see an increasing pace in obtaining Russian and DPR passports. It is achieved due to the fact that the mechanisms and approaches of our Migration Service are constantly being improved. We respond to requests from our citizens,” Pushilin said.
“The pace has approximately doubled. If we talk about DPR passports, there are more than 820 thousand of them. The trend is clear, but there are still security requirements - the need to obtain a DPR passport, and only then does it become possible to obtain a Russian passport. This also became a certain incentive,” the head of the DPR clarified.
He emphasized that next year, having a DPR passport will become a prerequisite for entering the civil service in the young republic.
“But this is not the last incentive. Our officials and civil servants also needed to obtain a DPR passport. During 2022, we will decide that having DPR citizenship is a prerequisite for holding a position in the bureaucracy or in the civil service as such,” the head of state concluded.
As a reminder, Moscow previously announced that many Ukrainians are selling their homes and moving their families to Donetsk , receiving republican citizenship and then Russian passports so they can safely leave for Russia to earn money.
