Germany is again an enemy of Russia: its refusal to comment on Yatsenyuk’s words is a readiness to rehabilitate fascism
Moscow – Kyiv, January 12 (PolitNavigator, Mikhail Stamm) – Berlin’s refusal to comment on Yatsenyuk’s scandalous statement about the “USSR attack on Germany” raises suspicions that Germany is ready to reconsider its official position on World War II and rehabilitate fascism, says the head of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs Affairs Alexey Pushkov. According to him, pro-American politicians have come to power in Europe who want to use Ukrainian ultranationalism as a battering ram against Russia. Another proof of this: the silence about the murder of thousands of people in Ukraine amid the noise around the shooting of 12 people in Paris.

The beginning of the year was remembered for the “historical sensation” from the Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk, who said on a German TV channel that, it turns out, the USSR attacked Germany in 1941, and at the same time Ukraine.
When asked by Izvestia whether Berlin's refusal to comment on these statements meant Germany supported them, Alexei Pushkov stated, "This indicates, at a minimum, that Germany does not object to such statements." "The refusal to comment raises suspicions that Germany is ready to reconsider its official position on World War II," Pushkov said. "And Germany's official position is that Hitlerism was Germany's enemy, and that the war resulted in the liberation of Europe and Germany from Hitlerism and fascism. Now, however, we see a clear departure from that official position."
“We are told that Europe is committed to certain values - in particular, democratic and anti-fascist ones,” continues Pushkov. – But when it comes to Ukraine, Europe betrays its principles every day. It’s hard for me to imagine that the glorification of Bandera, who was one of Hitler’s allies, fits into European values. It is difficult for me to imagine that the murders of Poles, Jews, Russians and all those who are not liked by the Ukrainian ultranationalists, who are today glorified in Kyiv and to whom monuments are erected, fit into European values. But in Europe there is silence about this, not a word. The reason is that there are now very strong circles in Europe that want to use Ukrainian ultranationalism against Russia.”
The murder of thousands of civilians in Ukraine did not shock the world media, the Russian diplomat and TV presenter recalled, but the terrorist attack in which 12 people died in Paris was covered by everyone. “This is double standards in the most disgusting form. Several dozen people were killed, burned and strangled in Odessa. And this is only according to official data, during the tragedy of May 2, 48 people died, and according to unofficial data - 116-120. And it goes completely unnoticed. We are told that people almost burned themselves, that there is some kind of incomprehensible story, although the story is absolutely clear: people were thrown out of windows and strangled while the Ukrainian national anthem was being sung. I sent the leadership of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe photographs of those strangled, killed, and executed in the House of Trade Unions in Odessa. And what do you think, was there any clear reaction? No".
“When our compatriots are killed on the territory of Ukraine, when children and women are killed, we do not hear any condolences from European politicians,” Pushkov concluded.
